Bryan, entering the house sweaty and short of breath:
“Jillian, you’re never going to believe what just happened. I was out front washing my truck, next thing I know, neighbor’s pitbull jumps the fence and comes after me! Had to chase it down the road with a stick.”

Hello! I stumbled across your blog and I have to say – it made my day! I had a gloomy, meh rainy Ohio day and your stories brought me joy and laughter ☺️. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures! I can’t wait to see more!
Also…I purchased a home last year – I can sympathize with the painting 😭.
Keep it up and I hope to chat soon!
Hi! Thanks so much for reading and complimenting! Home ownership is equal parts amazing and terrifying. Good luck, and keep in touch!
I love your blog. Keep sharing! I needed this one this morning! Made me laugh so hard! I live in the city in Missouri and these kinds of stories are for real! My next door neighbor has his allowed “6 chickens” in his back yard… and 2 geese. Some times I have to chase their boldest chicken back into their fence because she’s a jumper. The geese bust out quacking at regular intervals through out the day. It always sounds like someone just told them the punch line of a really good joke. No matter what kind of day I have had, those geese laughing always makes me laugh. Which leads me to believe geese might be good for depression… as long as they belong to someone else. :)
Thanks so much! I’m glad (kind of?) that you can relate. I’m actually in the Kansas City airport right now about to board a flight home to Nashville. Small world!
