Last night, I saw Eisley perform at Radio Radio. Of all the bands I’ve seen live, I’m pretty sure I’ve liked Eisley the longest; I started listening to them around 2005! (And that’s not some hipster “I knew them before they were cool” statement. That’s pure truth.)
Even if you’re not familiar with Eisley’s music, you may recognize their name from a post I wrote a few months back. The band is fronted by three sisters (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard), their brother (drummer) and their cousin (guitar). Being a family band, they had amazing chemistry, and the sisters’ vocal harmonies were breathtaking. I felt like I was swimming in their lyrics.
Two of the sisters in Eisley are pregnant, which was also really cute. One of them could barely get the guitar strapped over her six-month belly, but she still managed to rock out!
Eisley’s opener was a band called Merriment, which is comprised of the “Eisley” family’s younger brother and sister. It really is a family affair up in there.
