I’m at work. The phone just rang, and Amanda answered it. She said it was “Mike” for “Jill”. I said, my name wasn’t “Jill”, but I would answer it anyway.
I picked up the phone, told “Mike” that he was talking to “Jillian” and thanked him for holding. I asked him what I could help him with, and he started mumbling. I asked him to repeat what he said, and then I realized–I didn’t want to know what he said. He was saying nasty, dirty things to me! I hung up.
I don’t know who “Mike” is, and I can’t track his “private” number. I don’t know if it was a prank or if he was serious. I don’t even know if I know who “Mike” is, although I don’t think “Mike” is his real name. Whatever the situation, I don’t think it’s funny. I DO NOT appreciate being violated in that way. Thank goodness Coleman comes back home tonight. I’m freaked out.
Yuck.
Oh that happened to me when I worked retail in college. I finally figured out who the guy was and had him removed from the store when he would show up, but it felt awful! It really is violating just with a phone call. Sorry! Hope tomorrow is better!
Total ick! Doesn’t it just make you feel gross?! Sorry you had to deal with that…LOVE your blog! :)
