I’m in an introspective mood, so I’m listening to the Ray Lamontagne station on Pandora today. Between ol’ Ray, Joshua Radin and Ben Harper, things are going just fine.
Coleman is out of town for the week…again. He’s been in Idaho, and he flies from Boise to Salt Lake City tomorrow morning. Thankfully, he’ll be back on Friday night. Next week he’s off to Montana. I wish his job took him to warmer climates. Maybe then I’d try to hitch a ride!
I was sick near the end of last week. Something’s been going around. But, by Saturday afternoon I was feeling well enough to help Joel and Marlin paint their new house. I had a really good time! Highlights of the day included counting how many times Marlin got paint in her hair, eating macaroni for lunch, and taking a break to DSW where Marlin and I got some great deals on new heels! But the best part of the day?
We had Chick-fil-A for dinner!
Everyone thinks I’m crazy for being so passionate about fast food, but nothing cheers me up these days like the thought of a chicken sandwich, waffle fries and extra-sweet tea! It’s been weeks since I’ve been able to enjoy that stuff, and it was well worth the wait.
At work a couple of weeks ago, I struck up a conversation with a couple who lives in my apartment community. After chatting for awhile, they invited Coleman and me to try out their church. We went last Sunday, and we really liked it! It’s small, about 100 people, and they meet in a little room in the Colorado History Museum. For some reason, I’m partial to small churches that meet in loaned buildings… I’m looking forward to going back this Sunday to see what the second time around is like.
Just a comment to say I am glad to be able to read and catch up! :) Have a good weekend! love ya Regan
